Wet sinks are being moved to the periphery of labs in the new lab plans. This is a flexibility and cost of construction issue, plus there is a trend toward less wet lab space in research buildings. The long-range forecast is that wet biochemistry is on it way out with the general trend toward dryer labs – so plan accordingly and save construction dollars.
