Laboratory Trend - Less Wet Lab SpaceWet biochemistry may be moving to the periphery of research activities. Published May 2006
A planning tip for flexibility and cost savings.
Wet sinks are being moved to the periphery of labs in the new lab plans. This is a flexibility and cost of construction issue, plus there is a trend toward less wet lab space in research buildings. The long-range forecast is that wet biochemistry is on it way out with the general trend toward dryer labs – so plan accordingly and save construction dollars. - From Tradeline's Research Buildings 2006 Conference |
