HVAC Solutions for Multi-disciplinary Research BuildingsFloor-to-floor height and facility stacking issues. Published May 2006
Zone changes on multi-floor facilities necessitate creative HVAC planning.
Multi-floor, multi-disciplinary research buildings don’t “stack” well because space zones change from floor to floor. That means you have to think about unconventional HVAC solutions. Examine the possibility of locating HVAC controllers somewhere else other than above lab spaces. This may give you a lower floor-to-floor height and easier accessibility to HVAC control mechanisms. - From Tradeline's Research Buildings 2006 Conference |
