- From Tradeline's Lean Management Models for Facilities Management and Capital Projects Conference 2007
To streamline you data reporting, take stock of which of your published reports are really being used. Here is the test: Do people believe them? Do people rely on them? Do people act on them? If any of your reports fail the test, stop publishing them and publish something else. Capital projects in the private sector can move very fast, so to effect capital-spend avoidance and influence decisions to reduce operating costs, you mush have believable data already at your fingertips – you don’t have time to research or develop data. A big benefit to make sure you get from technology systems is the collection of reliable data that can be used in many different ways. Use this criterion in evaluating technology system solutions. |
