U.S. Green Building Council Unveils LEED-EB Operations and Maintenance

A new sustainability standard for existing buildings.

The U.S. Green Building Council unveiled the LEED-EB Operations and Maintenance standard in October of 2007. A sustainable certification system for existing buildings, LEED-EB Operations and Maintenance features a decrease in program prerequisites, new criteria for facility maintenance and operations, and guidelines for building commissioning, energy efficiency, water conservation, and green cleaning.
