Successful LEED programs, especially those for science buildings, depend on training and educating researchers, staff, and students. “Green” buildings are a big deal with students and have publicity value in student recruitment. If you have “Green” buildings, advertise their “green-ness” and create educational value at the same time with large LCD screens located around the facility to educate occupants as to the buildings’ sustainable features.
