Teaching labs require open lines of sight.
If you are planning a lab module that could work for both teaching and research, standardize on what you need for the teaching application, because in teaching labs lines of sight make that application much harder to accommodate, whereas research layouts have fewer critical requirements (research lab layouts can flex more to fit different space modules.) - From Tradeline’s College and University Science Buildings 2007 conference. |
