One view of how medicine will be practiced in the future leads to the elimination of medical education courses in the classic disciplines in favor of genomics, cell biology, organ physiology, and even social, community, and family environments. Many new medical education programs are combining simulation, clinical performance, basic science, and student & student/professor social interaction. This has space planning and overall connectivity-planning implications.
