Project Ownership and the Academic Medical CenterA management perspective. Published December 2007
As AMC programs become less departmental and more collaborative, the question of who “owns” buildings with respect to operations and maintenance becomes a real management issue. No clear “owner” who has financial control will eventually lead to poor building operations. For successful large-scale capital projects, it is the owner’s job to set the tone for project success and commit to managing and assuring the quality of the process. If this is not done, expect major capital project problems. - From Tradeline’s Academic Medical Centers 2007 Conference |
