The Future of the ClassroomGuidelines for lecture halls and technology-rich classrooms. Published July 2007
Teaching tools and facility design.
Lecture theaters should have “cheat screens” at the back of the theater that lecturers can see. This makes for a more powerful, engaging, and video-recordable lecture environment. Be aware that there is a serous question as to whether tiered classrooms will be applicable to teaching models 25 years from now. Make this question a part of your science teaching facility decisionmaking. In wet chemistry labs, benchtop computers that link physical experiments to computerized instruction are now a standard teaching tool. - From Tradeline's Science Buildings Canada 2007 Conference. |
