Forum Session: The multiple-masterplan technique for successful health science center integration

The key to the successful integrated health science center is a multiple masterplan for the whole program, for individual components (clinical, research, and teaching), and for regional economic growth. Here session leaders use the actual masterplanning done for Texas Tech's rapid expansion of its El Paso campus to a full four-year curriculum to demonstrate regional economic modeling techniques used to get monetary backing, determine realistic space requirements, and define critical linkage features. Attend this session to pick up the latest integrated-program planning tools and benchmark decisions about program and infrastructure.

This session is approved by the AIA for continuing education credit.

Session Leaders:
  • Andrew Vazzano, FAIA , Senior Vice President - SmithGroup, Inc.
  • Jens Mammen, RA , Principal - SmithGroup, Inc.
