There is a lot of talk and ""hype" about creating linkages between academic medical center research, clinical care, and education programs, but what is really happening, and what really works? That's what this session addresses. Session leaders set out the latest theories of integrated, distributed, and networked linkages, and they examine the success of real world solutions with respect to their linkage effectiveness. They demonstrate how different decisions about linkages are affecting space utilization, people dynamics and capital, operational, and translational medicine plans at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, UMDNJ, and the University of Edinburgh.
This session is approved for AIA Continuing Education credit. Session Leaders:- Jon Crane, AIA, LEED AP , Director of Planning - HDR | CUH2A
- Brian Kowalchuk, AIA, LEED AP , Director of Design - HDR | CUH2A
- Susan Lipka , Associate Vice President of Capital Planning and Management - University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center
