The reality of new capital projects for research programs is that budget shortfalls, site constraints, and space limitations are dictating that a diversity of sometimes incompatible science programs be made to work in a single building solution. Attend this session to see how this is being done. From a detailed analysis of two very recent building projects you'll learn the specific planning and operating challenges that need to be addressed and the facility design, engineering, and financial decisions that need to be made to meet the operational requirements of single-building, multi-program solutions.
This session is approved by the AIA for continuing education credit. This session also qualifies for HSW credit. Session Leaders:- Joshua R. Gassman, RA, LEED AP , Project Manager - Lord, Aeck & Sargent, Inc.
- Jerry Percifield, RA , Principal - Lord, Aeck & Sargent, Inc.
- James R. Bardsley, PhD , Associate Vice President, Finance & Planning - University of Utah
