The big challenge in biocontainment labs is to create highly productive work environments that can also “flex” to meet changes in safety and security protocols dictated by new research missions and regulations. Stephen Blair and Randy Kray examine biocontainment work processes along with lab activities that change with different safety and security protocols, and they demonstrate processes and tools for integrating those factors with a risk-based planning methodology. They analyze engineered vs. PPE solutions, and they demonstrate current and in-design leading-edge risk-based planning solutions in the U.S., the U.K, and other parts of the world.
This session qualifies for AIA CEU credit. This session also qualifies for HSW credit.
