For biocontainment operations and safety (occupants and the public), there are certain aspects of risk, lab procedures, primary and secondary containment requirements, operations and maintenance, and system and equipment access you can allow cost pressures to influence – and there certain aspects you must not! Here, Rohit Saxena and Mike Walsh evaluate specific value engineering decisions using projects at USDA, University of Georgia, and State of New Jersey. They prescribe a process by which key biocontainment facility decisions should be made, documented, and locked into the program to achieve safe and efficient operational outcomes.
This session qualifies for AIA CEU credit. This session also qualifies for HSW credit.
