With the ability to efficiently reconfigure a large imaging system back and forth between conventional human clinical-care diagnostic imaging and infectious disease research involving animals, you save large amounts of capital dollars (buy just one, not multiple instruments), and you create the capacity to perform imaging services in the case of widespread infectious disease. Here, Alan Love and Randy Kray set out the facility, systems, operating, equipment, and equipment location solutions that are needed to address issues of patient protection, cross-contamination between animal models, efficient research and clinical workflows, and imaging equipment decontamination.
This session qualifies for AIA CEU credit. This session also qualifies for HSW credit.
Session Leaders:- Alan Love, PhD, MBA , Director, NIAID and Infectious Imaging - Philips Medical Systems
- Randy Kray, AIA , Director, High Containment Planning & Design - CUH2A, Inc.
