Forum I: New, efficient maintenance management models for technical facilities

Lower-cost operations, management models. The looming problem for science buildings is legacy maintenance management models that waste money, cost too much, and quickly create large deferred maintenance situations. The new, new management thing is overhauling, restructuring, and simplifying maintenance management around specific requirements for technical facilities. Paul Ring illustrates policies, processes, technologies, and organizational approaches that are proving effective in reducing science building operating costs, improving technician wrench-time efficiency, increasing safety, raising operating up-time and reliability, and eliminating deferred maintenance. He examines the latest developments and applications in reliability centered maintenance techniques, military performance standards, and CMMS technology.

This session is approved by the AIA for continuing education credit.
