Forum O: Rationales and successful strategies for integrating medical education with clinical work

Attend this session to learn the value propositions and successful physical solutions for merging medical education with clinical care in the same facility. Here, session leaders examine education/clinical integration strategies at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Children's Hospital Boston and the financial thinking on revenues and space utilization, and the education impact of integration initiatives. They detail key programmatic metrics, adjacency guidelines, bottom-line costs, and anticipated program results of two very different integration models based on decisions about centralized vs. distributed teaching and separated vs. non-separated traffic flows.
