High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Operating under the same principles as liquid chromatography but with sophisticated pumps, valves, and plumbing to allow separations at high solvent pressures. HPLC can be used either for detection, quantification, and identification (analytical HPLC) or for separation and purification of materials (preparative HPLC).
