RF emission from electronic devices which is radiated or conducted outside the device where it disturbs the operation of other electronic equipment. EMI also designates the degradation of electronic equipment performance caused by the presence of external RF fields. RF shielding is a primary method of reducing both radiated emission and EMI susceptibility.
