Cage Changing Hood/Station

In the animal care industry, it is a frequent requirement that the animals be disease-free. To maintain this status, it is necessary that the animals never be exposed to contaminated air. Therefore, it is necessary to move them from a soiled cage to a clean cage in an environment of clean air. Hoods or stations that provide directional, HEPA filtered(or other types of treatments)air are used for this purpose. This usually applies to small caging used for the housing of rodents.
