Air-to-Air Heat Pump

Published February 2000

A refrigeration or air-conditioning system that removes heat from one air source and transfers it to another air stream. It is usually applied to heat inside air by cooling outside air. When operated in reverse, the system will perform like a typical air conditioning system that cools inside air by rejecting heat to the outside air.
