Hot Wire Anemometry

Published February 2000

A technique for measuring air movement in an exhaust duct or at the face of a fume hood. Air is moved across a heated wire, cooling the wire. The measure of the wire's change in resistance is directly related to the speed of the air. Also known as Thermal Anemometry.
