Humidifier Fever

A respiratory illness caused by exposure to toxins from microorganisms that flourish in humidifiers and air conditioners. Characterized by tightness of the chest, cough, muscle aches, fever and chills, it has been reported among office workers since 1970. Also called air conditioner or ventilation fever.
