A two-level underfloor raceway system consisting of a two- to three-inch deep upper-level header duct (or trench) that feeds cable to lower-level distribution cells (structural steel metal decks) that run at right angles to this header. Distribution cells are created by covering the voids in the underside of the structural metal deck with a metal plate. Wire can then be distributed through the header trench and out to workstations through the distribution cells. See also Cellular Raceway and Underfloor Raceway.
