A unit of measure of the speed of a computer
expressed as millions of floating-point operations per second. Mflops

Mflops counts the number of straight calculations a CPU carries out per
second. A 14-Mips general-purpose system is basically the same processor
speed as a 7-Mflop supercomputer.
