Pass Box
Published February 2000
A chamber where researchers can pass parts, tools, animal carcasses and other work items in and out of a containment lab without entering the lab itself. The concept is to create an air lock housing that minimizes the air that enters or leaves the lab. Pass boxes are used to eliminate personnel traffic into containment laboratories.
