Photopic Spectrum

The visual efficiency curve of the cone pigments of the retina of the eye, primarily in the central vision. This is what is measured by a standard light meter. New findings suggest that good lighting design should involve not only the photopic spectrum but also the scotopic spectrum. See also Scotopic Spectrum.
