A managed satellite ground station site consisting of a large number of clustered satellite ground stations linked by cable and switchgear to large-scale telecommunications users, such as banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms and news organizations. Teleports may, like airports, become attractive office locations for major corporate operations centers.
