Flexible conduit located in underflooring, in ceiling spaces or in a wall. It has a plug at one end and a duplex or fourplex outlet at the other and can be easily unplugged from a junction box and moved to another outlet. Whips allow flexibility at a low cost; theoretically, they reduce the need for electricians. They are often used in lighting systems.
