A term used to describe a step in the process whereby the design consultant(s), through the principal consultant or project manager, confirms their understanding of the institution's needs—in a sense a developed and therefore more detailed version of the original client program—for final sign-off by the responsible client representative. Also considered a part of "quality assuring" the design process.
