Supervising Architect M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Location: Houston, TX Description:
The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center is searching for a Supervising Architect to join the Patient Care & Prevention Facilities/Design & Construction Department. This person will manage a team that produces project related architectural and interior design services from initial scope development phase through the construction administration phase. Plans, organizes, and directs efforts in defining space programs and strategies for short term, mid range, and long range planning efforts, maintaining institutional standards, managing furniture resources, overseeing interior design needs, and managing architectural production of facilities related designs.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required. Masters degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Architecture preferred.
·Ten years of architectural experience beyond receipt of degree with three years of healthcare or research design experience required. Five years of healthcare or research design experience preferred.
·Working knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft Project and Autodesk AutoCAD is required.
·Registered Architect, State of Texas required.
