Facilities Planner/Designer M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Location: Houston, TX Description:
Evaluates the use of the MDACC’s physical facilities, the effective utilization of space and the projection of future space needs. Defines scope, preliminary budget estimates and program description for further evaluation and implementation. Makes recommendations regarding policy issues on the administration of space planning of the institution.
Required: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Architecture, Interior Design, and/or Space Planning and 10 years relevant commercial Interior Design/Architecture experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Interior Design, Space Planning, and/or Architecture, and 8 years experience in relevant commercial and healthcare/academic/research space design experience.
Required: Ten years experience in commercial Interior/Architectural design and facilities planning. Proficiency in the use of Lotus Notes, AutoCad, Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Project is required.
Preferred: Ten years in commercial Interior/Architectural design with a minimum of five years Healthcare/Academic/Research facilities planning. Experience with Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) database development. Experience in long range and large-scale master planning.
