Utilities Manager/Electrical Engineer M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Location: Houston, TX Description:
The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center is searching for a Utilities Manager to join the department of Campus Operations. This person will be responsible for managing 150 MVA of 4160 volt electrical distribution and 50 MW of distributed emergency generation systems, providing an effective program for reliable and cost effective systems operations and maintenance, and performing design review of electrical distribution and emergency generation systems planned for new buildings.
The position requires:
·Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
·Seven years of experience in the operation and management of utility services within a large facility, to include five years of supervisory experience.
·Demonstrated experience managing operations, maintenance support, and commissioning of high voltage switchgear, emergency generators, emergency transfer switches, power monitoring systems, and generator fuel systems.
·Demonstrated experience in value engineering the design of new building electrical distribution and emergency power systems for improved reliability and lowest life cycle costs. Additional experience in energy management and purchase of utilities is desired but not required.
