Facilities Manager/Architect Schaper Associates Location: Norfolk, Va Description:
Schaper Associates, a recruiting firm specializing in design professionals has been asked to identify candidates for a Facilities Management position in Norfolk/Va Beach, VA.
This position reports to the Executive VP of Manufacturing with full responsibilities for facilities management and architectural planning for the 750,000 cumulative square foot high volume manufacturing and assembly operations. Responsible for planning and managing new construction/installation projects. Manage relationships and coordinate activities regarding construction vendors, contractors and subcontractors. Responsible for retrofitting current buildings to latest energy savings technology. Oversee new 150,000 square foot facility expansion and new finished goods warehouse.
SKILLS: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Facilities Manager at a manufacturing facility. Should have experience with most of the following projects: electrical, sewer, water, HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc. Must have a BS Architecture degree with a certification in the state of Virginia (ideally) and experience with civil engineering and construction management. Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and be familiar with AUTOCAD.
This position requires a registered architect. Salary up to 6 figures, attractive incentive program, relo, etc. Strong preference for a minimum of 15 years experience, and at least 8-10 years in facilities management.
