Facilities Project Manager Washington State University Location: Pullman, WA Description:
The Project Manager’s responsibilities include: Collaboration with project managers in client interview, research, and development of major capital Project Request Reports, programming, and predesign documents for new buildings, renovations, site development, transportation, and utilities projects consistent with client needs, University policies, and state requirements; work with faculty and staff on Strategic Planning program; prepare Project Request Reports, project descriptions, cost estimates, project presentations and project schedules for the University’s Capital Budget Request; interface with clients, project managers, design consultants, and others to ensure academic program/budget compliance; Interface with campus facility users, faculty, and staff to gather program requirements and insure that safety, security, engineering, maintenance, and communications concerns are met; support Comprehensive Physical Planning Process consistent with academic planning principles and policies; review capital projects for conformance with WSU’s academic planning policies and Campus Master Plan
Required Qualifications:A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering and five (5) or more years of professional architectural or engineering experience which has included demonstrated competence to perform coordination of planning, design and construction of major capital improvement project and which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; a professional license/registration applicable to the position specialty may be required.A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience exclusive of the supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Multi-Degree, i.e. Business, Planning, and Professional Registration.
Salary: Full-time permanent position with starting annual salary dependent on experience and qualifications.The position has excellent fringe benefits.
