The Health System Projects
It is anticipated that the initial projects will involve capital renewal and deferred maintenance projects as well as major clinical and laboratory renovation projects.
The Position
Responsibilities include managing, coordinating and administering the design and construction contract throughout the life of the project. The person in this position is responsible for project management, and reviewing the project scope, budget and schedule for conformance with the University’s objectives.He/she monitors progress and initiates action to ensure schedules are met and work is performed within budget.The Senior Project Manager resolves problems and coordinates the entire design and construction effort.He/she works closely with the assigned Project and Construction Administration Managers.
Qualifications
Professional Degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited College or University is preferred
A professional license in architecture or engineering is preferred
Five to ten years of project management experience or responsible charge over design or construction
Significant supervisory responsibility for the construction of large complex institutional, utility, research, and/or healthcare facilities
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Significant years of directly relevant professional experience including the oversight of major capital projects
·Knowledge, skill and ability to negotiate agreements for professional service and construction contracts
·Demonstrated strong team leadership and interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
·Demonstrated experience in the management of complex, healthcare and medical research construction projects located in highly congested urban sites is preferred
