Facilities Inventory Manager Brown University Location: Providence, RI Description:
Manage all aspects of the University's space inventory including, data gathering, organization, and reporting. Develop analyses and reports on space needs, assignment, and usage to support the efficient and effective development and use of University space. Maintain an accurate, current, and comprehensive relational database of the space inventory of the University in the department's facilities management system (FAMIS). Conduct analyses of campus space needs, assignment and utilization in support of institutional space planning. Spearhead analysis of campus research space use and federal indirect cost recovery reporting. Serve as the university resource for space allocation guidelines, space categorization (using industry standards), and ad-hoc space reporting. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to facilities management. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a facilities management organization. Demonstrated experience with facilities data management and reporting. Demonstrated experience conducting complex data analysis. Demonstrated experience using CAD software, preferably the current version of AutoCAD. Demonstrated ability to maintain a detailed database to a high degree of accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative. Understanding of and ability to review architectural drawings and documents. Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
