About the Opportunity
The Space Planner works with each department to determine space requirements; prepares layouts that include planning for future growth and accommodating unique, business-driven infrastructure requirements; manages interior up fit renovations; provides project management & budgeting; ensures space plans comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations; plans a safe and clean working environment.
Essential Functions & Qualifications:
Effective decision making by analyzing information and considering priorities.
Understanding the customer’s business environment and requirements, anticipating trends and changes in the customer’s requirements, and developing strategies to meet customer requirements as cost effectively and efficiently as possible, while also allowing for future change.
Effective communication with a variety of groups and individuals, including written and oral communications, formal presentations, project justification, etc.
Excellent project management skills, including time line development and management, resource estimation and management, budgeting and cost management, change management, etc.
Excellent people skills. Interacts effectively and works productively with a wide range of people.
Experience managing vendors.
Familiarity with issues of compliance for state and federal regulations.
Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Facilities Management preferred but not required.
