Assistant Director University of Illinois at Chicago Location: Chicago, IL Description:
Selected candidate will identify functional space requirements for instructional, research, health care, administrative & service units; analyze existing space utilization; identify & evaluate options to meet relocation objectives; prepare recommendations for reallocation of existing space; and develop functional program statements for building renewal & construction of new facilities.
Requires Bachelor's degree in appropriate field (e.g., architecture, interior design, planning, educational administration) & 7 years of progressive exp in facility & space planning with proven ability to analyze complex space & facility planning problems and manage multiple planning projects simultaneously. Prefer appropriate advanced degree & 3+ years exp in facility planning in university environment; familiarity with benchmarking of space requirements for educational & research programs in Research I institutions; exp developing conceptual cost estimates & proficiency with CAFM reporting systems / applications.
