U.S. Air Force Constructs Class 10000 Cleanroom at Elmendorf

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -

The U.S. Air Force has selected Allied Modular Building Systems to build a Class 10000 cleanroom at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. The facility will be design-built to accommodate America's Global Strike Task Force's C-17 Globemaster III and the F-22A Raptor military programs at the base. The cleanroom will enable critical composite repairs of structural cracks on the C-17 transport fleet and will also include unspecified future operational uses for the F-22A Raptor. The facility will be built to engineering specifications including Seismic Zone 4 earthquake qualifications.
