Inova Unveils Decontamination Facilities

FALLS CHURCH, VA. -

Inova Health System has opened new decontamination facilities at all five Inova hospitals, including Inova Fairfax Hospital, as part of an emergency preparedness initiative. Each unit houses 6 to 8 shower stalls, designed and built by Chantilly-based Scott Long Construction, and has a decontamination capacity of 500 patients per hour in the event of a bioterrorism attack. The total project construction cost was approximately $350,000.
