Ware Malcomb has completed design services for Nichols Institute Diagnostics (NID), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. NID is a tenant the Talega Business Park in San Clemente, Calif., managed by Makena Properties. Ware Malcomb provided comprehensive interior architecture services for the 86,000-sf project, which includes 26,000 sf of administrative offices, R&D laboratories and environmental control rooms, 45,000 sf of manufacturing space, and 15,000 sf of warehouse space. In addition, an 800-sf exterior hazardous materials storage unit was redesigned. Lusardi Construction Company of San Marcos, Calif., carried out general contracting services for the project.
