CORYVILLE, OHIO - The University of Cincinnati is constructing the Center for Academic Research Excellence (CARE) on its medical campus in Coryville, Ohio. Slated for completion in fall of 2008, the $107.3 million, 240,000-sf facility will feature 70,000-sf of health science research laboratories on six floors and 17,000-sf of teaching labs. Designed by Studios Architecture of San Francisco and Harley Ellis of Cincinnati, the building will connect via a nine-story glass atrium to the adjacent Medical Sciences Building (MSB), which will also be renovated. The CARE/MSB project will also include upgrades to the Health Science Library. The total project cost including the MSB renovation is $177 million.
