University of North Carolina Develops Genetic Medicine Building

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -
The University of North Carolina is building the $120-million Genetic Medicine Building on its Chapel Hill campus. Housing the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, and the division of laboratory animal medicine, the 340,000-sf facility will house the medical school's departments of biochemistry, pharmacology, and genetics. Ground was broken on the seven-story building in February 2005. Completion is expected within two years.
