The Science Center Plans Expansion in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA -
The Science Center, a West Philadelphia business incubator providing facilities and services for early-stage life science and technology companies, plans to double its capacity with a 1.8-million-sf expansion program. Wexford Science & Technology, LLC has been selected as the development partner for Phase I of the project. The architect is Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership in conjunction with Ueland, Junker, McCauley, Nicholson of Philadelphia. The expansion wil provide wet laboratory research space (130,000 sf), retail space (15,000 sf), and structured parking to accommodae 500 cars. The Science Center's master plan calls for the addition of a total of five buildings at the site.
