FDA Builds Center for Devices and Radiological Health

WHITE OAK, MD. -

The General Services Administration has selected Centex Construction to build the Center for Devices and Radiological Health for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in White Oak, Md. The $87-million project will include office space, a 150-seat conference room, file storage, and support areas. Designed by KlingStubbins in partnership with RTKL, the six-story, 393,000-sf facility will enable the regulation of medical devices and research into the effects of radiation from medical, occupational, and consumer products. Completion is slated for February of 2009.
