Christus St. Catherine Hospital is engaged in a $45 million expansion that will increase inpatient bed count from 60 to 100. Designed by the Houston office of Perkins + Will, the 50,000-sf project is slated for completion by spring 2007. The expansion will more than double emergency room bed count from 9 to 20. Additionally, Christus St. Catherine is currently constructing an 80,000-sf outpatient surgery center and medical office building on its South Fry Road campus.
