FRAMINGHAM, MA. - Genzyme Corp. intends to build a recombinant protein manufacturing plant in Framingham, Ma. The 300,000-sf facility is estimated to be running by 2004. In Waterford, Ireland, Genzyme has purchased a 120,000-sf plant for manufacturing Renagel, with a multiproduct manufacturing facility planned nearby.
