KLA-Tencor Corp. of San Jose celebrated the opening of its new 120,000-sf Livermore facility in November 2002.   Consolidating twelve training sites, the training and customer support center has now been occupied by 200 employees. The facility houses 31 state-of-the-art classrooms. KLA-Tencor has completed construction of an additional manufacturing building on the site which will remain closed until market demand increases. Future plans include development of a total of six buildings on the 43-acre campus, providing space for up to 2,400 employees and housing amenities such as a fitness center and basketball court. KLA-Tencor is a maker of tools for chip manufacturers.
